Do magic with Google Chrome..

I switched to Google Chrome from Mozilla FF, because of the high memory consumption and frequent crashes of FF. I have been using Chrome for couple of days and I find it more efficient than FF, IE or Opera. Recently I figured out some cool features of Chrome. They are not features that are related to the functionality of the browser, but they make Chrome more usable and flexible.

If you want to convert a tab into a separate Window in your favourite browser, what is the approach you are going to follow ? Most probably you will spawn another browser instance and enter the URL. But in Crome you can drag a tab out of the Title bar and make it a separate window. (In Chrome, tabs are displayed in the Title bar, and it is not the traditional Title bar like in the other applications ;-))

Then of course, it will become a seperate Window. As I guess, this involves a less overhead, because in Chrome each and every tab is backed by a seperate process. So it is not necessary to create a new process to convert a tab into a separate browser window.

In addition to that, you can swap the positions of two tabs in Chrome. Just drag a tab along the Title bar to the preffered position, and Chrome will do the rest for you.

With some cool features as such, it is obvious that Chrome is a revolutionary web browser.

So enjoy browsing….
